YAMAZAKI MAZAK CORPORATION designs and manufactures laser cutting machines for the metal fabrication, structural steel and construction markets. The portfolio comprises a wide range of 2D and 3D laser cutting machines as well as automation systems.

The new OPTIPLEX 3015 FIBER II laser cutting machine has a fibre laser oscillator available with a continuous rated output of 2, 3, 4 and 6 kW. High laser power is fed directly to the cutting head. The machine is consequently ideal for cutting thin metal sheets at very high speed, as well as thicker material at slower feed rates. It offers more stable cut performance and greater throughput for applications utilizing mild steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze or aluminium, for example.

The OPTIPLEX 3015 FIBER II's high rapid travel speeds of 120 m/min on the X and Y axes and 60 m/min on the Z axis are particularly impressive. The laser cutting machine also achieves excellent positioning accuracy, namely ±0.05/500 mm on the X and Y axes and ±0.01/100 mm on the Z axis. Its repeatability sets more benchmarks at ±0.03 mm.

Sustainability and ease of use were key development priorities for the OPTIPLEX 3015 FIBER II: the machine’s electrical power consumption is approximately 35% lower during operation, than comparable machines with CO₂ resonators. Laser gas has been dispensed with completely.

Our helical-toothed rack-and-pinion system (Premium Linear System), which ensures accurate positioning, is a central design feature. It was optimized for the other system components in close cooperation with development engineers at YAMAZAKI MAZAK CORPORATION. This solution is so robust and precise that the company was also persuaded to install our linear drive systems in other laser cutting machines like the OPTIPLEX 4020 II and the OPTIPLEX NEXUS 3015.
